Day
1: WELCOME TO SARAJEVO
Arrival
to Sarajevo airport where you will meet with our English
speaking representative. Direct 30 minute transfer to
your hotel in the city center. (Arrivals of the flights
to Sarajevo are mostly in the afternoons or evenings).
After check-in at the hotel, the rest of the day at
leisure. Dinner at the traditional restaurant (supplement).
Overnight. (Lunch included)
Day
2: SARAJEVO
Breakfast followed by a morning walking tour
of Sarajevo. This walking tour is highlighted by visits
of 16th century Sarajevo as well as 20th century Sarajevo:
the best preserved old bazaar in the Balkans, Bascarsija,
Bey's Mosque, Old Serbian Orthodox Church, Old Jewish
Temple, Catholic Cathedral, Royal Prince Franz Ferdinand
murder site (this assasination contributed to the origins
of World War I). Transfer to Tunnel Museum 1992-1995
which was a unique exit from the surrounded Sarajevo
during last war. After sightseeing, a lunch in a local
restaurant in the old part of Sarajevo. After lunch,
transfer to Vrelo Bosne for a stroll. Evening walk through
Mejdan park. Evening and dinner at leisure (not included).
Overnight in Sarajevo. (Breakfast and lunch included)
Day 3: SARAJEVO - VISOKO
After breakfast we depart for Visoko (30 km). Meet with
Dr. Sam Osmanagich at the reception. Visit of tunnels
of Ravne. Back to the town of Visoko and lunch at the
local restaurant. Some free time and a visit to the
KTK tunnels with a local guide. Free time for chatting
with volounteers from all over the world. Dinner at
the hotel followed by a 30 minute introductory documentary
on the pyramids. After dinner free to rest or to go
for entertainment in the city center. Overnight at the
hotel. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 4: VISOKO
Breakfast followed by a visit to the Pyramid of The
Sun with a local guide. Continue to Vratnica tumulus
excavation site. Lunch in the town of Visoko. Visit
to the pyramid of The Moon with a local guide. Some
free time to explore the town of Visoko. Dinner at the
hotel and overnight. (Breakfast and lunch included)
Day 5: VISOKO - ZAVIDOVICI - VISOKO
Breakfast
and departure from the hotel to Zavidovici. After an
hour’s drive we will arrive to the little village
or home stead of Zavidovici where spherical manmade
stone balls were found. After sightseeing, lunch at
the local restaurant in Zavidovici. We then return to
Visoko and have free time. Dinner at the hotel followed
by a farewell party. Overnight. (Breakfast and lunch
included)
Day 6: FAREWELL
After a final breakfast, we check - out and transfer
to the Sarajevo Airport for your flight home. (Breakfast
included)
