Day
1, Sunday, to Vinkovci and Ilok
This
morning (at 9 am), travel to mythical Slavonia,
a fertile region that has guarded its treasures
for centuries. Today, songs reverberates through
the air, precious folks costumes are taken out
of old wooden chests and age-old customs brought
to life - all in order to preserve the Slavonia
as it used to be. Arrive to Vinkovci and visit
Town Museum, one of the most beautiful museums
of continental Croatia. After some time at leisure
we finish our day in Ilok. Get to know warm welcome
and friendship so typical of Slavonia and its
people. Dinner. (D)
Day
2, Monday, to Vukovar, Ilok
This
morning drive to lovely Vukovar, called also the
Triumphal Gate of Croatia. Discover why this area
is considered the cradle of one of the oldest
civilizations. After the sightseeing tour, featuring
the Franciscan Monastery of St. John Capistrano,
the Manorhouse Eltz, the St. James and St. Nicholas
churches as well as the Ovcara Memorial, enjoy
some time to stroll around. Return to Ilok for
sightseeing tour and visit of ’Stari Podrum’with
wine tasting. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day
3, Tuesday, to Osijek, Karanac and Zagreb
Today,
take a walk through the Old Town of Osijek. Panoramic
drive along the ‘wine road’ will take
us to Knezevi Vineyards, where we’ll visit
wine cellar and have a wine tasting. Following,
we will visit traditional villages of Baranja,
including eco village Karanac, where we enjoy
horse carriage ride. Lunch at the local restaurant
and in the afternoon drive back to Zagreb. The
rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding
streets of the old town of Croatian Capital at
your own pace. (B, L)

4, Wednesday, depart Zagreb
After
breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure
flight. (B)
