DAY
1: ZAGREB
Upon arrival in Zagreb, transfer from the airport
to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY
2: ZAGREB - OPATIJA (160 km)
Breakfast. Sightseeing of Zagreb featuring Upper
Town, historical center of the city, Church of
St. Mark with the famed multi-colored roof, Cathedral,
Croatian National Theatre and University. After
the city tour, we head towards Opatija, one of
the most famous tourist resorts in the Mediterranean,
which in the last century served as a resting-place
of the European aristocracy and was known as the
Croatian Nice. Arrive at the hotel. Dinner and
overnight.
DAY 3: OPATIJA - PULA - NATIONAL PARK
BRIJUNI ISLANDS - MOTOVUN - OPATIJA (250 km)
After breakfast, we go on a full day excursion
to Istria. Drive through the inland of the Istrian
peninsula via Pazin, towards the west coast and
Pula, the oldest town on the Eastern Adriatic
coast. Sightseeing of Pula including a beautiful
Roman amphitheater the Arena. Later, we leave
for Fazana where we embark a ferry to Veliki Brijun.
Brijuni National Park, once the favorite residence
of the ex-Yugoslav president Tito, consists of
fourteen islands along the south-east coast of
Istria. After a relaxing walk on the island we
return to Fazana and continue towards a mediaeval
town of Motovun perched on the top of the hill.
Short sightseeing and the return to Opatija. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel in Opatija.
DAY
4: OPATIJA - VARAZDIN - BUDAPEST (650 km)
After breakfast, drive towards the Hungarian border
with a short stop in Varazdin on our way. This
City of Baroque or Vienna in small as people call
it, used to be the capital of Croatia in the past.
Its name was first mentioned in the 12th century.
After a short sightseeing tour, we head towards
Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Arrive at the
hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY
5: BUDAPEST
After breakfast, we set out on a sightseeing tour
of the city including Buda and Pest, the Matthias
Church and Gellrt Castle that offers a beautiful
view over Danube. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel in Budapest.
DAY
6: BUDAPEST
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the
flight home.
